Watch the lesson, then scroll. Every key idea is laid out below so it sticks, including the bit most trainers never tell you.
And which one it is decides whether this problem takes weeks or years.
New tips work for a couple of weeks, lose their novelty, and you are back searching for the next one.

Not ready yet? Everything you just watched is broken down visually belowβ
You, the dog, some distance. Say the name, dog runs over, biscuit. Teaching the dog English. Simple. Except there is a catch hiding in that gap.
Your dog is mid-fun. Dopamine flowing. And your word asks them to stop all of that... and do some obedience.
Is "come and do a job" the most valuable offer on the table at that moment? Probably not. So we make the word as easy, and as advertising, as possible. Two ways to do that.
Dog right next to you. Say the word. Then make something brilliant happen, instantly, for free. That is the whole technique.
Free instant stuff appears. Mix it up however you like:
Four flavours, one move: the word makes fun happen. No job. No work. Ever.
And the mix matters. Rolled and scattered food means sniffing and searching. Thrown food means running and catching. The word starts to mean all of it.
Dogs that "lock in" during training sessions switch off outside them. So do it randomly instead. Get in the car, say the word, chuck a biscuit, start the engine and go. That is how you rack up crazy amounts of repetitions in every environment. Impossible when there is distance between you.
Ever noticed your dog bolts over the second they hear a wrapper or a biscuit tin? That sound means free instant stuff. Your recall word, the one you have used again and again, means do a job for me. All we are doing here is making your word mean what the wrapper means.
Hand out. Dog puts their nose on it. That is the whole trick, and it is brilliant.
Touch, touch, touch, all the time, anywhere. It becomes a fun little game your dog loves.
Because you practised it constantly up close, the one time you need it across the field... swoosh, they come running.
Touch, then a tug toy, a ball, anything. Reward with activities that are free and instant. No work needed.
This is the touch video I mentioned in the lesson. My rule: everybody with a dog, ever, should teach touch.
You have seen success before. A new technique works, a few weeks pass, it stops working. Here is why, explained the way you have never seen it.
Training piles value onto the sound. Great. But it does nothing about the other side of the scale: a dog obsessed with dogs, smells, everything outside. A dog that is not motivated by food or toys out there, because the environment has them completely.
The behaviour you can see is the observable tip. The reasons live under the water.
Controlling, managing, punishing, distracting, redirecting. All aimed at the tip. That is continuous fighting, and it is why internet tips never save you.
Behaviours are just decisions your dog is making. Fix the state your dog is in, and the decisions change on their own. Recall included.
Work on the state your dog is in on that walk, and recall stops being a battle. But it does not stop there.
Recall improves
Because the environment loses its grip.
Lead pulling eases
Same iceberg, same fix.
Jumping up fades
Calmer decisions, fewer explosions.
They rest more
Less manic, more settled at home.
No more micromanaging
You stop being a full time dog manager.
It lasts
Because life keeps them that way, not sessions.
And here is the beautiful bit: there are no training sessions for frustration or arousal. You change the life slightly, then you just live it. Life does the work for you. That is how you stop de-dogging your dog.
This recall problem has seemed so big because the whole time, you have not actually been working on the problem. The answer is not another recall tip. It is helping the whole dog, and that is exactly what we do together inside MK9Plus. People in your exact situation see more progress in a couple of weeks than the last couple of years.
Is it arousal? Frustration? Under-stimulation? The Under the Surface lessons help you pinpoint exactly what your dog is going through.
Not a faceless course. Message me directly, describe your dog, and get rid of the uncertainty for good.
Rotating Q&A, topic deep dives and Zoom calls. Recordings and written notes uploaded if you miss one.
Foundation, Integration, Expand. Recall, loose lead, enrichment, training, feeding, body language, all in a pre-selected order.
Not just 5 more techniques. Solutions to the obsession and unreachability your dog has outside, the actual cause.
